Team DLH Attends Warrior Alliance Veteran Impact Awards

Military Appreciation Month is an opportunity for each of us to express our thanks to Service Members, Veterans, and their families for immense sacrifices they have made in defense of our great nation.

Supporting the military community is core to what we do at DLH. Our team members were proud to support the Warrior Alliance Gala in Atlanta on the evening of May 18. Warrior Alliance carries out vital work to connect returning  Service Members with service organizations, government agencies, businesses, and other community resources that can help with the often difficult transition to civilian life.

“Going back to when I first came here, imagine, big city, you don’t know anything, anyone. You’re trying to get around…but then you meet Warrior Alliance,” says Veteran Melvin Walton in a testimonial on the organization’s website. “Getting in touch with these guys has been a blessing for me…They care about you. They’ll call you up and check on you, They have resources and if they don’t know, they will find someone who does know. And I’m telling you from experience. Doing something that minute can change the dynamics of anyone at any time.”

Attending the event on behalf of DLH were Executive Director, Emerging Technology John Kenney (U.S. Air Force, Retired), Project Manager Ted Taylor (U.S. Army, Retired), Executive Vice President John Armstrong (U.S. Army, Retired), President & CEO Zach Parker, Mission Services & Solutions President Helene Fisher (U.S. Army), Chief Human Resources Officer Maliek Ferebee, and Director Don McMaster (U.S. Marine Corps). DLH was joined for the inspirational evening by invited guest Chris Fowler (U.S. Army, Retired).

Congratulations to all involved in creating such an impactful event and thank you for the important work that Warrior Alliance carries out each day on behalf of our nation’s Veterans!
