Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

DLH’s artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities offer intelligent, scalable systems that combine human knowledge and observations with machine learning and data.

We support autonomous system test planning, execution, and performance assessment, including autonomous behavior prediction. Our engineers are at the forefront of enhancing military medical research through the application of AI/ML principles and practices, supporting the research and development life cycle for AI/ML systems and devices that enable and advance semi- and fully autonomous systems. We leverage ontologies and computational knowledge models to advance programming languages that develop reasoning systems using logical techniques and strategies that integrate multiple diverse sources of information from Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Cerner or other decision support systems to run on a soldier medic’s handheld end-user device.

We’re constantly enhancing future AI/ML research and development efforts with mission needs, operational outcomes, user feedback, and data. We monitor new project discoveries that could affect the existing research and literature related to performance, while supporting and creating developmental and operational test and evaluation techniques that focus on the unique challenges of robotics and autonomous devices. These ongoing efforts allow us to provide near real-time medical situational awareness to guide remote clinical specialists that ultimately get captured in patient health records for further decision making.
