Trends in Urinary Tract Infection Prevalence and Pharmacotherapy

DLH researchers Julia Ward, Lydia Feinstein, Casey Pierce, and John Lim were among the authors of a poster at the 2019 International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology & Therapeutic Risk Management. The poster described the 10-year trends in prevalence of urinary tract infections (UTI), sociodemographic characteristics associated with UTI, and UTI-related medication prescription practices among U.S. adults. The findings are based on data from the Urologic Diseases in America project. Other authors included researchers from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
