DLH senior research scientist Aimee D’Aloisio is among the authors of a podium presentation at the 2018 A Community on Ecosystem Services (ACES) Conference. The poster described a study of the influence of exposure to natural environments on well-being in women in the Sister Study. Researchers assessed both presence of and access to natural environments and applied mixed effects logistic and linear regression to quantify the associations between several metrics of residential exposure and outcomes of self-reported health, quality of life, perceived stress, and depressive symptoms. Other authors of the presentation included researchers from the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
