DLH health researcher M. Elizabeth Hodgson was among the authors of a poster presented at the 2019 American Society of Preventive Oncology Meeting. The poster described a study of diet, inflammation, and oxidative stress and presented evidence on the association between pro-inflammatory/pro-oxidative diet and breast cancer risk, particularly triple negative breast cancer. The findings are based on data from the Sister Study. Other authors included researchers from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, University of South Carolina, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
