DLH Hires Shaun Mitchell as Director of Operations for Health and Logistics Services Unit

Atlanta, Georgia (February 6, 2018)—DLH Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: DLHC), a leading provider of innovative healthcare services and solutions to Federal agencies, announced it has hired Shaun Mitchell to serve as Director of Operations for its Health and Logistics Services (HLS) operating unit. Mr. Mitchell will report to the company headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining DLH, he worked in operations, program and project management, and business consulting within the U.S. Departments of Defense and Health and Human Services. Throughout the past 30 years, he has served in a variety of leadership positions, managing military organizations and multiple Government programs and contracts with demonstrated delivery and profitability results.

Mr. Mitchell’s most recent experience includes 9 years as program manager for the Army Reserve Medical Department’s Regional Training Sites—Medical program, and 5 years as project manager for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Finance Management’s consolidated financial management system.

Prior to working in the Federal contracting community, Mr. Mitchell served 23 years as an active duty U.S. Army Medical Service Corps officer. He retired from the Army as a promotable Lieutenant Colonel. During his distinguished military career, he served as a White House military aide and chief of staff for the Third Medical Command in Kuwait. He also commanded the Third Area Support Medical Battalion, managing hospitalization and evacuation services in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. In this capacity, he received the Army’s Bronze Star.

Mr. Mitchell holds a master’s degree in business administration from National University and a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Mercer University. He is a certified Lean Green Belt. He has completed multiple formal executive program management and leadership courses, including a program with Yale University.
