Additionally, DLH supports informal learning through the same platform, encouraging employees to engage with courses based on personalized recommendations. This approach fosters a culture of continuous, self-directed learning, allowing employees to explore new skills and knowledge relevant to their evolving professional needs and interests.
ASPire Tuition Assistance
The DLH Academic Success Program (ASPire) is a comprehensive initiative designed to enhance employee development by offering financial support for educational pursuits, thereby removing monetary obstacles and strengthening DLH’s overall capabilities and talent retention. Employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to apply for ASPire immediately upon joining DLH, receiving financial aid for various educational endeavors including degrees, licenses, and credentials, subject to approval by a dedicated committee. The program permits one application per employee annually, with a maximum benefit of $5250 for degree programs, and involves a review and approval process. To qualify, employees agree to use the funds within 30 days and commit to remain with DLH for a specified period post-completion, with a reimbursement clause for unfulfilled or unsuccessful pursuits; however, ASPire does not cover professional memberships, conferences, or workshops.
