  • What we can do, what we've seen from our Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy, where we do have a consolidated supply chain, is our cost advantage is tremendous because of the scale that we have and also our customer service is fantastic. We've been rated number one pharmacy in the country for 6 consecutive years by JD Power because of that scale advantage. So what we're in the process of doing is building a consolidated supply chain for all of our medical centers. So far, we've avoided about $35 million of cost. Our commitment to you was to avoid $75 million in costs by December—I think we will beat that.

  • DLH employees Jessica Fonseca and Kate Ramirez spoke to a patient on May 23rd about her ostomy supplies and the issues she had been having. After several phone calls to the doctor and patient, they worked together to figure out the best answer to her questions. As a pharmacist with little to no experience in this area, I am so grateful to have coworkers who are outstanding in their understanding and their willingness to work with our patients to improve their lives! Jessica is planning to call the patient again today to clarify some information about products that CMOP does have available for her to use. I am truly impressed at their dedication. This patient's life will be positively affected because of their knowledge and customer service.

  • I would like to recognize DLH employee Jon Will. I have tracked workload and productivity, and Jon has maintained in the top five producers for all of Meds by Mail for the last year. Although safety and quality is our primary standard, Jon's dedication and work is a direct reflection of how important our veterans and beneficiaries are. Jon is a dual impact on Meds by Mail with his skills, knowledge, and abilities in CHAMPVA verification and virtual pharmacy service. He has established a consistent quality effort toward Meds by Mail operations and his work.

As a partner, your team performs services that allows the OHS team to excel in their efforts to support our children and families, grantees, associations, and Regional Office.   • I really wanted to let someone know about the experience I had with (a member of the DLH Head Start team) yesterday. We were having some technical difficulties submitting our calendar(s) for scheduling, which started the day before yesterday. (Employee) really took on the responsibility of finding out the problem. And she stayed on the phone with me yesterday for a long while until we were able to submit the calendars. She also followed up on everything she said she would do thereafter. The one thing I do know is that people will always leave or file a complaint, but rarely leave something nice when given impeccable customer service. I wanted to do that for (employee). She was very patient and pleasant. So, however you all celebrate your staff, please celebrate (employee)! She really, really saved the day for me yesterday. And all of our calendars have been submitted.
